Yes, it is Christmas once again! What a wonderful time of the year. I am excited about this Christmas because it gives us all another opportunity to share Jesus with someone. Please remember that Jesus is the reason for the season. Gifts are fine, but this season is about the goodness of God who sent Jesus to us. What a gift! We never want to forget God's goodness. Space does not permit me to expand on all the goodness of God, but if God had only sent Jesus and nothing else, that would have been much more than we deserve or can earn. It is through His grace and mercy that He sent Jesus to this earth.

It seems that the secular society crowds more and more of Jesus out of Christmas every year, but we Christians must bring Christmas back to its real meaning. Jesus brought hope to this world - hope that had nearly been lost through generations of waiting and falling away.

It is the same today. In our society, many people have no hope that things will ever get better in their lives. We know that through Jesus Christ, we enjoy God's best. God's best is Jesus. This is the time of year that we can share openly and freely. Speak the phrase, "Merry Christmas" often and, talk about Jesus the Christ. Invite someone to attend church services with you this Christmas Season. Let's make an effort to spread the good news of the gospel of Jesus this Christmas.

We are continuing with the Capital Campaign and are so excited about the new building that we so desperately need. Sunday, December 9 is a special day when you can show your support for the building by making your pledge during the morning services. If you are unable to attend that morning, you can mail your pledge directly to the church office. I am profoundly stirred by what God is doing at New Song. We plan to break ground for the new building in early spring when the weather permits.
